CLIENT CASE STUDY
I collaborated with the team at Google on a series of illustrated wallpapers for the Pixel 5 launch, specifically designed around the phone's new holepunch camera display. The brief was to make the cutout feel intentional and delightful rather than something to work around.
The designs had to hold up across a lot of constraints—working around the camera cutout, the app shelf, and up to 15 app icons overlaid on the home screen, while staying globally relevant across 13 markets and scalable from device to OOH and TV. Everything also needed to feel unmistakably Google: bold, optimistic, and built to last on shelf for years without feeling trend-locked.
I iterated on over 80 design ideas before we landed on three that are available to use in the "For Fun" category of all Google Pixel phones.
