CLIENT CASE STUDY
Julie Lythcott-Haims is a New York Times bestselling author, speaker, and activist best known for How to Raise an Adult and Your Turn: How to Be an Adult (with a paperback back cover that I designed). I assisted with her complete brand redesign in 2019, and then took over managing her social presence across Facebook, Instagram, Twitter. Later, I oversaw the launch of her TikTok by managing a team of interns. Over four years, I consolidated a fragmented set of accounts into a single, cohesive brand, and built a content strategy from the ground up.
I developed the visual identity for her social channels, designing graphics and social-first assets, and mastered writing in her voice. I handled the strategy, the calendar, and the execution. Over four years, her Instagram grew nearly 7X.
In addition, I drove creative across all touchpoints—when Julie was tapped in to film a TED Course, I handled the course identity and subsequent social-first creative. When she launched her Substack, Julie's Pod, I crafted all the creative to ensure that the new platform aligned with her overall brand strategy.
When Julie ran for Palo Alto City Council, and later, Congress in California's 16th District as the only woman in the race, I built the campaign brand from scratch. That included the logo, full brand guidelines, all social creative, and physical collateral like lawn signs and mailers.
